Global Grind

Footage from Baltimore’s Vanguard Middle School, showing an officer assaulting a 13-year-old girl with a baton, has surfaced – and it’s disturbing.

The incident, which involved two other girls, left the young women hospitalized with injuries. The clip (above) shows Starr, one of the middle-schoolers, arguing with the officer. Moments later, her cousin Diamond approaches the situation, making contact with the officer. He then chases her down and strikes her twice with the baton.

Diamond suffered a bloody head injury, leaving her with 10 stitches.

The two other girls were pepper sprayed. All of the young ladies were charged for assaulting the officer but charges were dropped after prosecutors saw the chilling footage. They were also suspended and sent to alternative schools.

Their attorney is currently working on changing that. We will keep you updated on the latest.

The family of Akai Gurley, the unarmed black man shot by a New York City police officer in a dark stairwell, is planning to sue the city for $50 million over his death.

Gurley’s girlfriend, Kimberly Ballinger, notified New York City of the lawsuit on Thursday. Ballinger’s lawyer, Scott Rynecki, said Officer Peter Liang acted “recklessly” while patrolling the housing project known as the Pink Houses in East New York, Brooklyn. Liang, who drew his gun in the stairwell, maintains he was startled before firing the fatal shot.

“An officer has to be able to justify having his weapon out and in his hands,” Rynecki said. “We think there was no justification.”

The shooting, while believed to be accidental, is being investigated by the Brooklyn district attorney for possible criminal charges.

Ballinger filed a notice of claim seeking $50 million in damages against Liang…

I’ll take white.” Moments later, Gaa is said to have approached the employee, allegedly grabbing her arm in a manner that caused bruising and asking her if she “liked to party.” According to the probable cause statement, Gaa then allegedly said, “I have a place I would like to take you where I hung your grandpa.”

Gaa initially denied making the…
