Albuquerque Cop Unexpectedly Shoots Undercover Detective During Drug Bust (DETAILS)

On Friday, a police officer unexpectedly shot a fellow cop during a narcotic operation in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Both officers were reportedly undercover.

Daily Mail reports:

Both of the officers were working undercover and wearing plain clothes, KOAT reports. The shooting officer did not know the man he was confronting was one of the Albuquerque Police Department’s own.

The unnamed undercover detective is a 10-year veteran of the force and the other officer has been with the department for several years.

Witnesses said they saw a black car get surrounded by police vehicles and then heard gunshots when authorities tried to take a man into custody.
