Russian girl group Pussy Riot, most famous for being jailed over a protest performance at a Moscow Cathedral, offer their support to Eric Garner and other victims of police and government terrorism in their latest video, “I Can’t Breathe.”

The tribute is Pussy Riot’s very first English-language track, which was recorded in New York City back in December. The song comes with a visually powerful music video, in which members of Pussy Riot lie in a shallow grave as they’re being buried alive and sing, “It’s getting dark New York City, I need to catch my breath.”

On their VEVO channel, Pussy Riot explained the concept behind “I Can’t Breathe.”
